This place is what Oregon city has been desperately in need of. Every Oregon city gem has steadily declined in service and atmosphere as prices climb higher. New owners of trails end have cleaned the place up with great prices and amazing food. No $11 dollar sandwiches or salads here. Atmosphere is classic Americana style with antique ceiling fans interconnected and driven by leather straps. Can't beat a place that keeps the Man in Black and Willie playing in the background all day long. Skip the pool hall, the high school burnout lounges, the overpriced trendy spot, and the blackout biker bar and come here.

I've lived in Happy Rock for 3 1/2 years now and haven't been to this place before last night for a Meetup get together. Chaotic Soul were playing there, and they were awesome, but the Saloon was a great venue, and I even danced a little bit. The beers were good prices, and the place seemed clean and nice, and a good local spot to hang out at on the weekend evenings if I'm looking for something to do.

Totally divey yet I loved it. Great strong reasonably priced drinks and a very polite/attentive waitress to boot. I'm a fan!

Great place with good energy! I used to live in Nashville, and the Trail's End Saloon reminds me of the historic honky tonks on Broadway Street (in Nash). We saw an amazing band perform (Honky Tonk Union), which added to the ambiance. Drinks: great Service: quick and friendly Food: haven't tried - yet. I look forward to trying out their new menu! Renovations: looking good! I like the new bar and the retro decorations.

Had the Reuben sandwich here on my first and probably last visit. I couldn't tell if the packaged lunch type meat on the sandwich was pastrami or corned beef but it had little flavor and not a quality of meat I would expect to get on a Reuben served at any restaurant. Also the sauer kraut on the sandwich tasted like it came out of a can. French fries were greasy also.

Tonight was my first time to visit the Trails End Saloon. In fact, it was the first time I'd ever heard of it, period. A friend invited me down for a belated birthday beer and to hear a Gospel Blues band play. When she said they were "good", she meant "Great!" I didn't catch the name of the band, but the woman singing had a voice like Aretha. Soo awesome! While I really enjoyed her bluesy version of the gospel songs they sang, my favorite was Etta Jame's "Somethings got a hold of me". That raised the roof and packed the dance floor. As for the food; holy cow! I ordered a $6.50 "small" crispy chicken salad and what I got was a full sized plate of iceberg lettuce - piled high with cheese, chicken strips, 2 boiled eggs and a handful of bacon bits (I asked them to hold the olives - because olives gross me out). The ingredients were fresh and I had way more than enough to take to lunch tomorrow. I love bar food. While it may not be chi-chi, it's grubbing good and you always get huge portions! The service was also very good. A little slow, because the place was packed; so I ordered from the bartender, which was not a problem. The building looks to be one of the oldest in the city. I'm not saying it is, it just looks to be. The ceiling fans are literally spinning with a belt motor. The bar is on the corner or 14th and Main and is much larger inside than it's outward appearance. Looks are always deceiving. The walls are full of chotchkies - which look old enough to have once belonged to Lewis & Clark themselves. The bar has a stage, which local favorites play on weekly. From the packed atmosphere, it's a local hot spot. They also have a few plasma screens, for sports fans. While it was a bit of a trek for me to drive to, I really enjoyed myself and feel the distance was well worth it.

The old dog has some new tricks.....cleaner, crisp super friendly service from a curvy hottie lll GREAT music..Kevin Selfe is a star and he was here the night we went. The atmosphere, literally at the end of the Oregon Trail is historic and fun. The cover charge was only $6 and prices are fair. The food was good ,not great and the kitchen very prompt. My only gripe was the parade of zombie stoners drifting in and out of the outdoor patio ...we were buffeted by the rancid pot smoke they trailed in...and they tended to get in the way and it got worse as the night aged.

Breakfast!!! The food was great. Delicious housemade sausage gravy & biscuits. Pancakes were tasty. Omelet was great. Coffee was hot! And Keeley was so nice and personable. AND it was affordable! I think this is our new favorite weekend breakfast spot. YUM

Five stars? Well I am scaling it for what it is, bar food. First, the menu is extensive. They smoke their own meats which is appealing and their happy hour menu is long. For this visit I chose the Gyro with sweet potato fries. The Gyro was among the best I have had, not THE best, but close. The sweet potato fries on the other hand.......WOW. Best I have had to date. Drinks and pours are priced accordingly.

went there for a charity event, was packed, but the staff was decent for the number of people crammed in there, and the food and drinks were good! Fun to see a live band for hours on end, and talk with the performers...

The waitresses are seasoned and know how to gauge if you want another drink. The service was definitely friendly. We sat near the back because the band we had come to hear has 9 members and is LOUD. The place filled up and there was joyous dancing, which is very nice. We ordered beer (great), whiskey (exactly what I wanted) and pulled-pork Nachos. Chips were crisp, portion plentiful. And flavors were balanced. BUT WHO THE HELL PUTS FRESH GREEN BELL PEPPER ON NACHOS? YUCK.

I had a wonderful breakfast here on Tuesday while I waited for the car to be serviced at Lithia Subaru. The Service Center staff recommended Trail's End Saloon to me. I was so happy to find a good breakfast so close. They have live music Wednesday - Sunday. Cover on Friday and Saturday. Full menu. Happy hour menu. Lottery gaming with local decor. Eric also has an Amish carriage for sale. Check it out.

Wow love this place! If the amazing music doesn't do it for you then the darling waitstaff will. Food is tasty and a great price.

Well, what can I say, I didn't love this place. Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with it. It's just not my scene. They have very good variety of groups that come through this location. I went there to see my cousin play prior to him leaving for Nashville. It was good and the waitress was very helpful in finding us a seat that we could see the stage from. Definitely an older crowd (I can say that cuz I am too) but nice. Some dancing on the small dance floor up front. We had a beer and a coke and talked to my cousin a bit prior to leaving. Everyone was friendly and it was clearly a local hang out for some. If you like the Blues check it out.

My husband ,son and a friend and I came here for the first time to see a popular local band that we follow most often to different locations. The Mike Branch Band was great as usual they have a good amount of followers so of course we recognized several faces. We got there way early to get a good seat as it was 2 hours before the band started to play, we then ate our meal and had our first drink, then about an hour before the band started to play the wait staff came up to us and asked for a $5.00 dollar cover charge although there was nothing that indicated online or outside of this establishment that there was any cover charge at all. So our friend left and we paid the charge and stayed for the band. The food was ok we had the house mac which was good but seamed to be a bit over priced for the amount of food we got, you could add chicken which my husband added to his, bacon and or broccoli also could be added for an extra charge, it came with a cup of soup or salad and some toasted bread. We chose the chowder and that was good but it was small as it did not even fill up the hole cup, the toast was just that, some toasted bread. My husband said he thought it was supposed to be garlic toast but it hardly tasted like it had any garlic flavor at all. We started out with long islands as this usually tells you about the drinks, if the long island knocks your socks off then the wells should be good too. Well, again the long island failed the test so we were not about to order another one and not at 8 bucks a pop. So on to the well drinks, yes they were cheaper but after 4 each we still were not impressed, so on to the strait shots of tequila, how can you go wrong with that, right! I think they watered the straits down we had four of those apiece, then we decided that it was not worth the price and we paid our bill and left the show early. I don't think we will go back there again although I will say that the wait staff was friendly and we had no complaints about that, the place is in a historic building with an old style single motor and a long belt driving multiple ceiling fans which was cool but just was not impressed with all the other amenities that would make us come back to spend over a hundred bucks in food and drinks again. So off to another adventure to find a new fun place that will make us feel at home and this place did not pass that test.

Went the for a friend's birthday and the music was great. I loved the blues group that was there. The food was very low rent bar food. The hamburger was a frozen piece of meat but the toppings were good. The Onion rings looked to hopeful but the batter was put on so thick that it was hard to eat. The Monte Cristo sandwich was not done in the correct fashion. There was no sauce, the bread was grilled, which was ok, but it should have been deep fried. The sandwich was done in two layers, not three like traditional Monte Cristos, there was no jam served with it. and the fries we frozen, with the good looking onion rings I was hoping for fresh cut fries. Go for the music, try the food but just be aware it is low rent food.

I love this place and have been coming here for about 11 years. I still can't believe I hadn't written a review on it. The service can be a bit slow at least initially, but once you've been waited on they are usually really good at getting food out to you quickly and keeping the drinks flowing. The food is usually great and there are 2-3 different specials every day. Everything from a blue cheese burger and fries for $5.50 to a $10 prime rib dinner. In fact, I can't even remember the last time I looked at a menu because I usually order one of the specials. Drinks are good and strong and they have a pretty extensive selection of brewed beverage as well as hard alcohol. They offer live music at least four nights a week with Friday and Saturday the only night they charge a cover. They are usually involved in lots of community events like Relay for Life, Oregon Food Bank, etc. So if you're feeling especially generous while sucking down some suds, you can find an outlet for your philanthropic desires. Plus they have some kookie celebrations such as Jimmy Buffet's Birthday on June 21st. $3 burgers, $2 beers, Jimmy's music on the sound system, and lots of Hawaiian shirt clad locals singing about Margaritaville. The people who hang here are mostly regulars so the atmosphere can feel a bit clique-ish when you first come in. But stick around, come back often, and you'll be part of the family in good time.

Love this place. I discovered it when I moved here in March when I was researching good places to go for blues music. They can be counted on to always have a good variety of musicians especially on the weekend. I have always found it friendly and the food isn;t too bad either. great burger. and a nice size dance floor. If you're looking for a fun place to go listen to some live music then this is a perfect spot.

No one has written a review for this place yet? MAN, this is a great OLD saloon, yes I said saloon with a few upgrades! You will find some of the best Blue's west of the Mississippi in this place as all of the local talent such as Sonny Hess and friends, Curtis, all of them have played and still play here most every night! The lunch specials are fantastic and cheap! The regular menu is good and the beer and drinks are good too! This place has a ton of history in Oregon City and is a must if you are a history buff or love great Blue's music!

First visit was a success. I went for a live performance and had a good time. The grilled chicken quesadilla for $7.50 was surprisingly tasty, a good value too. The place was packed for most of the show. People were dancing and everyone seemed to be enjoying the show. The service was fine and the staff worked hard while staying friendly. I would go for another show, but otherwise it's not really any place special to me.
